On September 22, Liberty School had an exciting visit from the Colorado National Guard & DEA Rocky Mountain Division: Joint Counterdrug Task Force as part of the Guard’s Red Ribbon School Program.
Students and staff gathered as a Black Hawk helicopter landed at Liberty, creating an unforgettable experience for our students. Members of the Colorado National Guard and special guests shared an important message about making healthy, positive choices and staying drug-free.
Following the presentation, students had the opportunity to get an up-close look at the Black Hawk and meet members of the flight crew. This hands-on experience gave students a memorable opportunity to learn more about the National Guard while reinforcing the importance of making good decisions and building a healthy future.
We are especially grateful to the Kirk Fire Department, Joes Fire Department, and Yuma County Sheriff's Office for being present and helping make the event possible and safe for our students.
A huge thank-you to the Colorado National Guard and DEA Rocky Mountain Division for visiting Liberty School and investing in our students!
Liberty Knights are making good choices and building a strong future!
