Sophomore Bode Monahan poses in front of the ISEF List of Qualifiers backdrop in Phoenix.

Freshman Bode Monahan represented the Northeast Region Science Fair and Liberty School at the 2026 ISEF held in Phoenix on May 10-15. At ISEF, Bode competed against over 1,700 finalists from more than 60 countries with his project "Entropy Engine: Utilizing Nondeterministic Electron Cascade Dynamics for Cryptographically Secure Password Generation." It is a huge honor to make it to ISEF, as less than one percent of competitive science projects make it that far.

In addition to the competition, Bode and Junior Juakin Sawatzky toured the Botanical Gardens, attended a night at Chase Field, went to the Arizona Science Center, and networked with other finalists and observers. Congratulations, Bode!
