Last night, at the CASB (Colorado Association of School Boards) Region 1 Meeting, Liberty School Board President Christi Herrick was named a McGuffey Award honoree. The CASB McGuffey Award honors unique board members who bring committed and passionate service to their board work.
Christi Herrick's dedication and passion for supporting education in the Liberty community is the true definition of selflessness. She has continuously given ten years of service to the Liberty School Board, with six years as Board President. For the last three years, Christi has served on the CASB Board and is the ECBOCES representative for the district. Christi has strong knowledge of school policy and finance, and, along with her caring and generous personality, has impacted the students and staff of Liberty School in a myriad of ways. She has committed boundless time and energy lobbying at the local and state level in support of pieces of legislation for the good of our school district, rural education and education in Colorado in general.
