The VFW Sponsors a writing competition on patriotism every year. 

6th through 8th grade winners:  Quentin-3rd place (awarded $25), Katelyn-2nd (awarded $50) and Casey-1st (awarded $75).                                                                                                     

High School Winners:  Ted-3rd place (awarded $25), Dalton-2nd place (awarded $50) and M.C.-1st place (awarded $75).
