      Little School, Big Successes

 

Lynn Clark began teaching for Liberty in 1996. Prior to Liberty she taught 10 years at Granada, Colorado. Lynn graduated from Liberty in 1980, and in 1985 from CU Boulder with a BA in Anthropology and an Elementary teaching certificate.  Lynn has two children, Josiah and Tiegen.

 

Rhonda Corliss is the Special Education/Title I Teacher at Liberty School. She has an Elementary Teaching degree and a Masters in Special Education.   Rhonda has three children:  Krista just finished her Business Degree in May of 2008 and is working in Denver.  Stephanie is a junior, majoring in Marketing.  Wade is a Business Education Major.

Chuck Packer is in his third year at Liberty.  He earned his BA in education form Colorado Christian University.  Besides teacher 5th/6th grade Chuck is also Liberty Athletic Director and Junior High Boys Basketball Coach.  Chuck lives in Yuma with his wife Sheila, their son Kade and baby girl.  Sheila is a Radiological Technologist at the Yuma District Hospital. 

Hilary Seifert is currently teaching Kindergarten.

Betty Sears began teaching at Liberty in 1990.  She earned her BA in Elementary Education and BS in Social Work from Chadron State College.  Prior to teaching at Liberty she taught 3 years in a K-8 Country School in Dawes County in Nebraska.  Betty currently teaches 1st & 2nd grades.  She lives in Joes with her husband Grant.

Deborah Kahrs worked under Yuma Choir Director Sue Ewen from 1986-2000 as 7-12th Choir Accompanist and Jr High and High School Specialty Group Choreographer.  She started giving private piano and voice lessons in 1992 for the Yuma, Liberty, Lone Star, and Otis areas.  From the fall of 2000 to May 2003 she taught K-12th Choirs, 4-12th Bands and High School Drama at Lone Star.  Ms. Kahr took over teaching PreK-12th grade music at Liberty in February of 2007.  She continues to give piano and vocal lessons to Liberty and Otis students.  She is currently working on her degree through Colorado Christian University on the campus of NJC.

 

Tammy Jackson began teaching Preschool at Liberty in 2006.  She has two children, Jordan and Taylor, they both attend Liberty.  Tammy graduated from Otis High School in 1981 and has an Associates Degree in Child Development.
