Liberty School Announces February Student of the Month

Joes, CO – 4/8/10 - Liberty School is proud to announce that Riley Brandon and Jacob Tharp were named Student of the Month, and Mrs. Betty Sears was named as the Employee of the Month at Liberty School for January.
The Student of the Month Award is presented each month to one student from Liberty Elementary and one student from Liberty Junior-Senior High. Teachers nominate and vote for students based on academic achievements. Elementary teachers chose the elementary winner, and Junior-Senior High teachers chose the Junior-Senior High winner. Students have their names announced over the school P.A. system and receive a Wal-Mart gift card.
Riley Brandon is a 3rd grader at Liberty Elementary. She enjoys riding horses. Riley is the daughter of Justin and Rochelle Brandon of Yuma. She has two siblings Clay and Taylor Brandon.
Jacob Tharp is a freshman at Liberty high school. He enjoys playing Xbox 360, and computer games. Jacob is the son of Scott and Chenille Rehor of Kirk. He has two siblings Lizy and Simon.
Mrs. Sears is in her 20th year of teaching at Liberty. She attended Chardon state in Nebraska and has a Bachelor in elementary education. She said her favorite part about her job is the kids, and being able to be creative in her teaching.
